Before + After = Happily Ever After

Went Goodwill hunting this weekend

as always it never disapoints

For some reason they had a TON of brand new mossimo items from Target

(still with tags on!)

Everything on the right side of this board is just that...*brand stinkin' new!

I also purchased this awesome vintage inspired desk there

regularly $40

but at half off I bought it for $20

I have a huge vintage bedframe in my spare bedroom that this goes perfect with

I really need to show you all my home

the good

the bad

and quite honestly

the ugly

change is near and I'd like to bring you along on my journey

I'm sure some of you would have some great advice!

And believe me...I'm all ears!

I am desperatly in need of curtains meow!

My dinning room looks cold and bare

So as you know I have a love affair with two places

Goodwill

Westwood Discount

Both places hold a special place in my heart

I know in the past I have shown many of my Goodwill finds

but I have yet to really showcase my Westwood Gems

Westwood this is your chance to shine!

If you suffer from extreme anxiety over great deals and lots to choose from

I assure you this is not your store

But if you like to find something new and exciting everytime you shop

jump on the bandwagon

I need to do another post about how many items in my home are actually from Westwood

You'd be amazed

Normally I am very strategic in how I approach this store

I go aisle by aisle starting with aisle one

sometimes hitting an aisle twice in a row

once looking at one side, once looking at the other

Things are picking up so much lately

It's the only way I can handle it all without getting too overwhelmed

Brooklyn's Designs is coming along beautifully

and will be launching soon

I am working on designing two blogs right now

and loving every minute of it.

All I want out of life it to make a living

(I don't even need to be rich)

doing something I truly love

I've finally found out what that is

Holly crap it only took 28 years!

Now just gotta figure out how to make money at it

One of my favorite stores ever

besides Goodwill of course

(which reminds me tomorrow is Sunday and the sale colors will be changing!)

got a little too excited just now

ok breath

Back to V&V

As you can see they've got so much to choose from

including vintage costume jewelry ( my personal fav), textiles, shoes, purses,

nightstands and everything in between

But the thing I love the most is

that it is SO affordable!

They even have a downstairs with discounted items

which is what I hit everytime

Found some real gems there.

I was also able to ask her some questions like:

What can people expect to find when people visit your store?
I think that one of the good things about my store is that you NEVER know what you might find there. I love to try and stock unusual items or things that are very difficult to find in our area. You can of course, find the basic antiques, vintage clothing, furniture,glassware etc... but I LOVE to be able to offer a few truly unique treasures to my customers.



What is your favorite era and why?
I think that my favorite era ia probably the 1920's. Women were front and center for at least a decade. The designs were fluid, curvy, sensual. The clothing was detailed and beautifully fitted. There was emphasis on everything feminine♥


 Where do you draw inspiration from?
I draw inspiration from so many different sources ~ blogs (yours is awesome!), antique shows (especially "The Farm Chicks" show), my talented friends and family, books and magazines, other shops, and my latest fun "time suck"...Pinterest♥♥♥
