Back from vaca with a whole new outlook on life

fist,

blessings and happiness are NOT measured by the amount of money we have but by the people

who come into our lives

second,

I'm not a fan of the big city mentality 

where we become self absorbed and unaware of the world around us

The good news is

maybe I really am a better person than I give myself credit for 

I like to smile at people and have them smile back 

I like to wait for old lady's to get through the gates at the airport instead of knocking them down for the sake of making it to the luggage claim 2 minutes earlier than everyone else

I am feeling so incredibly blessed coming home

in fact I did shed a tear or two just pulling into home

Life is definitely what you make of it 

and I firmly believe you don't have to live in a big city to live big or feel glamorous

I must apologize for my last post 

I am embarrassingly aware of how poorly it was written

I blame it completely on "vaca brain"

I was able to capture some lovely pics

so I won't post them all but here are a few more I was able to get up.

My dirty lil secret

Received an email yesterday from Craig Lamere over at Moz Studio
asking if he could show my before and after re-touch picture on his blog

He is my friend
so I said yes
only on one condition
that it was NOT a before and after picture of my
rear
although it is a magical process

and I really do want everyone to enjoy the disappearing act

it mustn't be at the expense of my bottom

To go along with the admission of my celly belly bottomside

here is a little something my sis sent me last week

to help ease the pain
for those of you who share my prob

Sorry no posts over the weekend

My internet was out

You know you don't have a life when your bf says he's so happy the internet is out 

because he actually gets to see you

I probably should set up some boundaries

needless to say we had lots of cuddle time

 I had the best photo shoot ever this weekend

Not only was this little lady beautiful on the outside she was gorgeous on the inside

LOVE her!

My friend Ellen and her daughter made it so much fun with their great, up-for-anything attitudes

find a new hobby

like underwater basket weaving 

but you never actually come up for a breath

Going to have an honest moment

because quit frankly I'm sure many of you can relate

I was getting a bit burnt out

I'm trying so so hard to follow my dreams 

but yet not seeing the results I'd like that reflect the amount of effort I've been putting in

and like every normal person you begin to travel down the road of doubt

I prefer my roads paved in glitter and gold,

snap, crackle, pop!

 

Had a great talk with my good friend Jamie last night

I love people who are full of good energy and good ideas

she re-lit my fire

I am also incredibly grateful for my sister who always believes in me

no matter what

although I can't figure out if she believes in me because we are related and she has to

or that she actually thinks I have potential 

either way I lub her berry much

A day to be thankful

and jump back into it!

Hazy Crazy Weekend

OMG what a weekend so far!

Where do I even start???

I have so many pics I want to post and not nearly enough space and time

Yesterday I spent a beautiful day up on the ski hill and realized just how out of shape my legs really are

Afterwards I had the funnest outdoor shoot with the Cutest kid on the block, Ashton

(shown above and also on my photography blog)

Later that night Mike and I went out to dinner and saw my good friend Ashley

Um I don't kid when I say she wears heals everywhere

even to the grocery store

she's like a special-ops fashionista

(I laugh because my weekend attire consists of sweats only)

To my surprise she was in healLESS boots!

What the H?

Later that night I received a text from her saying she had just got back from the doctors and

her toe was officially declared....broken

shoulda known something was seriously wrong

This morning after a kick @$$ class called Body Combat

My madra and I picked up smoothies and hit the town in search of the perfect place to do

photo sesh No. 2

Can't wait to show you what great style my gal pal Jess has

Both places hold a special place in my heart

I know in the past I have shown many of my Goodwill finds

but I have yet to really showcase my Westwood Gems

Westwood this is your chance to shine!

If you suffer from extreme anxiety over great deals and lots to choose from

I assure you this is not your store

But if you like to find something new and exciting everytime you shop

jump on the bandwagon

I need to do another post about how many items in my home are actually from Westwood

Normally I am very strategic in how I approach this store

I go aisle by aisle starting with aisle one

sometimes hitting an aisle twice in a row

once looking at one side, once looking at the other
